Freedom Mobile CA

First off, the kiosk guy who signed me up made an error on autopay amount. Second off, “top up” in the account can not be refunded or transfer. I had $60 remaining in my account and they will not refund me. Pretty much just stole $60 from me. They would not Let me transfer it to a friend. I was talking to their support staff for over 2 hours and had to talk to three different people. What a joke. I’ve used many different carriers before and if I had a credit balance they would always refund me. I will never use Freedom Mobile again. Yes, it’s cheap but it’s not worth it.

I am having trouble connecting to data on Freedom prepaid $35 Nationwide plan since I got activated on May 30. I contacted Freedom support multiple times but they have not been able to resolve it. They advised to go to warranty center to replace physical SIM with a new one. When I went there I was told that best is to change to eSIM so I can avoid any issue related to physical hardware SIM. I did that today and converted to eSIM on my iPhone but DATA is still not working. I am totally helpless and no one at Freedom support has been able to troubleshoot and resolve this problem.
I am requesting for a refund to my prepaid payment made against this plan as Freedom Mobile has failed to deliver me data service on its network. But they refused to refund. They are conducting daylight robbery on Canadians and looting public money. CRTC must cancel their license immediately.

I was a loyal customer with Freedom Mobile for nearly 10 years (back when it was still wind mobile!)

I finally decided to cancel my account in November 2022 as I am travelling abroad in Europe, and have no use for a Canadian mobile service. I sent a request to cancel my account as of December 1st, 2023, and had believed it was completed. From December 1st, onwards I had not used my Freedom mobile services, not one text message, not one second of calling, not one KB of data...

As a precaution I had cancelled my automatic billing, but I was shocked this month to discover that freedom had not cancelled my account, and they had also continued my monthly charges, racking up to nearly $100.

I tried contacting freedom to get the charges cleared and finally cancel my account. They cancelled my account but refused to remove the charges, saying they were unable to. The agent helping me, even threated that the charge would be sent to a collections agency if I didn't pay. Seeing as he couldn't help clear the charges, he provided me with an email for the back office team at Freedom Mobile. I sent them an email explaining the situation to which they replied they are unable to help because it is out of the 'scope' of their functions.

It's disgusting to think a company would punish a 10 year loyal customer with $100 in charges for absolutely no reason.

My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs.
