Typical Telus ripoff

Be careful about using this service - it is owned by Telus. I originally signed up because they claimed to have wider coverage in BC than Rogers. However their definition of "wider" means "roaming" which is VERY expensive. When I cancelled my account, they insisted on charging me for another 3 months - despite my not using their services. I dont know why that surprises me - It is Telus after all. Serves me right I suppose.

Worst customer care support

Koodo's customer service is simply unreachable due to AI and chatbots, and their website frequently displays error messages like "this services is unavailable right now".

Koodo doesn't care

Home service is unreliable average signal strength one bar or less. You will need a home phone if you live in this area of PEI.
David at Koodo said nothing can be done. I hope we don't need emergency services of any type because we may or may not get through to them. Shouldn't they tell you their service is terrible before they take your money. Don't support this uncaring company.

Who owns Koodo?

Koodo Mobile Canada and its Operations

Koodo is owned by Telus. As many of you may already know, Koodo mobile Canada has developed its brand around personalized telephone service offers. Since its inception, it has been a close competitor of Virgin Plus in the telecommunications market, since both companies target similar user profiles. In order to stand out in the market, Koodo mobile Canada started providing other services besides telephone service. In 2010, Koodo mobile launched its own Blackberry smartphones with QWERTY keyboards. Later that year, the company launched its first HSPA+ device. As a means to satisfy customers' needs for internet connection, Koodo mobile offers HSPA+ and LTE networks by Telus.
