I was a loyal customer with Freedom Mobile for nearly 10 years (back when it was still wind mobile!) I finally decided to cancel my account in November 2022 as I am travelling abroad in Europe, and have no use for a Canadian mobile service. I sent a request to cancel my account as of December 1st, 2023, and had believed it was completed. From December 1st, onwards I had not used my Freedom mobi More
Honest Review? I am in Toronto Canada, I got three lines from Freedom for my kids (my wife and I are with Rogers). I gotta say with full confidence that this is the MOST inept backwards disorganized company on planet earth (think back to the Rogers days when they held the title). In each of my three instances I have to port a number over. Numbers that I bought that cost me $250 each. I have 30 More

Absolute incompetence. I simply wanted to port my number from Koodo. Well, no. You have to get a 'temporary number' to set up an account, to start a transfer. Of course, they don't tell you this until you get your Sim card and try to start the activation. And this is after 35 minutes of 'support' to figure out why my number and PIN aren't in their system. Ok, so give me a temporary numbe More
Hello, I ordered a new device by calling sales team of freedom mobile on 6th of September. She confirmed my new shipping address on phone and as a proof I got a text and email stating that, my address has been updated. Other than that, the new agreement which is received on my email was having new address on it. Next day I recieved an email about shipment details and surprisingly it was havi More
Their customer service is TERRIBLE. And the coverage is equally bad. My car broke down on the 401 near Victoria Park Avenue exit in Scarborough and I had no reception. I've also had calls drop while driving in Richmond Hill on Bayview. The dropped calls are frustrating but the total incompetence of the customer service is the worst. While it's frustrating that the big three and their discount More
Horrible network service and even much more horrible customer service . They charged me for the entire month even though I cancelled my service well in advance . Won’t recommend anyone to use their crappy and useless network .
I had really terrible experience using freedom home internet as all billing cycles were clubbed and bad customer service.
One thing people need to be aware of is if you have money in a prepaid account with Freedom Mobile that you will lose it all when you port your phone number to another provider. Go with Shaw Mobile, much better deal.
Terrible. Signed up for the plan where they offered an additional 250MB bonus data for subscribing at the time and they never added it on. Relayed this to customer service, checked months later and it was still 250MB. Going elsewhere.
not recommended for business usage
i thought Shaw would have made freedom better
spotty network coverage lots of dropped calls and dead slow network speeds in Alberta major cities and along major hiways
worst customer service ever lack of understanding problems

I sent a request to cancel my account as of December 1st, 2023, and had believed it was completed. From December 1st, onwards I had not used my Freedom mobile services, not one text message, not one second of calling, not one KB of data...
As a precaution I had cancelled my automatic billing, but I was shocked this month to discover that freedom had not cancelled my account, and they had also continued my monthly charges, racking up to nearly $100.
I tried contacting freedom to get the charges cleared and finally cancel my account. They cancelled my account but refused to remove the charges, saying they were unable to. The agent helping me, even threated that the charge would be sent to a collections agency if I didn't pay. Seeing as he couldn't help clear the charges, he provided me with an email for the back office team at Freedom Mobile. I sent them an email explaining the situation to which they replied they are unable to help because it is out of the 'scope' of their functions.
It's disgusting to think a company would punish a 10 year loyal customer with $100 in charges for absolutely no reason.
My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs.
