Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro brings the Pro line’s premium build into a more compact 6.1-inch format, with a flat stainless steel frame, Ceramic Shield front, textured matte glass back, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Its Super Retina XDR OLED display runs at 2532 x 1170 and adds ProMotion with an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, which makes scrolling, animation, and supported games look notably smoother. Powered by the A15 Bionic chip and offered with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage, it remains a very capable iPhone for demanding everyday use, photography, and video work. The rear camera system combines 12MP telephoto, wide, and ultra wide cameras, with features such as 3x optical zoom in, macro photography, Night mode portraits through the LiDAR scanner, Apple ProRAW, Cinematic mode, and ProRes video recording. Apple rates battery life at up to 22 hours of video playback, and charging support includes MagSafe up to 15W, Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W, and fast charging that can reach about 50% in around 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher. Pros

  • Storage: The iPhone 13 Pro can store up to 1TB of data, which is enormous for a smartphone.
  • Battery: The iPhone 13 Pro's 3125 mAh battery is supposed to allow for up to 22 hours of video playback before dying.

Cons

  • Amount of improvements: For hundreds of dollars more than the iPhone 13, are the improvements truly worth it? Camera, battery and storage are valuable improvements, but the price discrepancy ($1399 vs $1099) seems questionable.
  • Colours: The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are offered in less colours than the base model. In addition, the selection of colours are noticeably less vibrant.
