Been a customer for a few years. At the end of my contract found a better deal elsewhere but an agent from Shaw called me back with a better monthly offer and a 1 time statement credit of $200. The statement credit never materialized and when I enquired about the credit Shaw agents said there was no note on my account in that regard. I tried to cancel the new contract I was told it was outside the More

Just cancelled our new Shaw internet service over poor wifi performance of their Bluecurve router and lack of customer support. The Wifi range of the Bluecurve router is poor on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands, and side by side comparison with an existing 5+ year old Telus setup showed that Shaw's Bluecurve has at least 20% less range on any band. Shaw tech support was good to work with but unable to i More

I find that the internet is constantly dropping. We've had the problem repeatedly over the years and they never really fix it, just tell us it could be someone's garage door opener nearby or a microwave oven. Not helpful. And quite expensive really considering the service. I am sure I can get unreliable internet for less

Shaw: A Brief History

Shaw was founded way back in 1966. Over the years, it has continuously expanded its service and absorbed smaller companies. As one of the country's largest providers, their substantial growth remains highly impressive. Shaw was founded as Capital Cable Television Company, Ltd. in Edmonton, Alberta in 1966. The company went public on the TSX in 1983 under the name Shaw Communications Inc. Shaw provides a variety of services including Shaw Mobile, Shaw Home Phone, Shaw Direct, Shaw Business, Shaw Go WiFi and Shaw Internet. They also offer television services through Shaw Direct and Shaw Cable. As one of Canada's largest telecom providers, they have become a household name. What makes Shaw different? There are many reasons why people love Shaw. One thing that sets them apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. They were ranked as the most recommended brand in Canada for the sixth consecutive year in 2019. And in 2018, they were named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers. But perhaps what people love most about Shaw is their reliable and speedy service. With their fibre optic technology, you'll get some of the fastest download speeds available. Shaw provides service to both residential and commercial customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. They are the second-largest provider of television services in Canada. Shaw offers a variety of different home internet plans to their customers depending on their location within Canada.
