it's terrible and not stable AT ALL
A better price for a service that is equivalent to other bigger providers. I have been with vif-Internet for 6 years now and I have never had a problem with this provider in all this time.
I have been with Vif for 4 years without any problems. Until a storm took place in Quebec (Vif is based in Mtl).
A wire disconnected outside. It took 2 weeks before they agreed to send a technician on site. They made me do a ton of tests, replace the modem, be forced to borrow a laptop from a friend because they wanted to test with this equipment that I do not have, I am told that they will call me, I am told that they are doing other tests the next day, I am called at work to do tests !, I never spoke with the same person, etc. I spent hours on the cell phone with them at my expense for nothing. Until they decided 12 days later to send someone. That it was the problem with the telephone pole.
I never had credit, no refunds, no offers when I unsubscribed, no apologies from customer service. 14 days without internet in 2019 is long. Vif when you don't live in Montreal is not a good idea. For me, it's never again.
The Internet speed test as well as the proposed price displayed by Planhub correspond quite well to what we have with Vif-internet.
Knowing that the speed can fluctuate depending on the day and time, the test reveals a speed of almost 8 for a price of $ 24.99 per month + taxes.
It would also be a good idea for Planhub to list the annual rates, as there are Internet providers that offer an annual payment VS monthly payments.
It is good to know that sometimes, by paying once a year, the price is cheaper than monthly! That is what we do: an annual payment. We save several $$ compared to monthly payments ...
I've been with Vif Internet 60M cable for 6 years
Breakdowns are rare but not non-existent (1 or 2 per year)
The speed is very stable
Slow customer service (but very may be required)
As the price is very competitive I recommend
not expensive & worth its value
