Used Sunwire for over a year and the service was great until I had an issue with my ip address and was misinformed multiple times being told it was a dynamic ip and not static. I had just began a new job online and depended on the internet to work. Instead of working with me with payment dates during their miscommunications which if it had been clear would have allowed me to get online to ask for payment. Instead my service was cancelled. For a $200 bill that has been paid off and 2 weeks of pure miscommunication they are asking for another installation fee and month paid upfront. So $400 roughly for to have my service reinstated. The miscommunication has cost me my job as well. I asked to be called back multiple times and no one ever had. I paid off the ammount owing but then was asked to pay 200$ afterwards to be able to get back to work. Very very very bad communication. This was a horrid experience.
Hello - based on your location and the customers in the area (all of which are existing customers with one exception) - we were able to identify the account in question.
Unfortunately, the issue was not with the IP address itself but rather, it had to do with a DDoS attack (user's computer/connection was hacked). This issue was being addressed by our Network Operations team.
There was also a separate issue related to unpaid/past due bills. This was rectified (separately from the technical issues). Up-front payment was part of the agreement once the overpaid bills were reconciled.
We're sorry that you feel this was a horrid experience and the issues you've experienced are not typical of Sunwire's clients nor is it a reflection of the service we provide.
