I have been a Fido customer forever, since it first became a carrier company.
I have never had a problem with this company and that includes traveling across Canada and the U.S. many times with my career; always helpful customer service, certainly competitive plans and coverage pretty much everywhere.
Thank goodness its quality of service DID NOT go down when gobbled up by Rogers.
I've been with Fido for over 5 years. They are average when it comes to customer service. When you bring your own device they always get you great offers to stay with them, that changes when you get to be in a phone contract with them.

For the first year, it is quite good. But after the first year, things just smell fishy and you have no idea where extra charges come from.

I use Fido for a long time. All my family members are using the same. But the bills are awful if you compare them with the other service providers. Also, most of the phones are way too expensive than the marketplace. They charge almost triple since it is financing with the plan. Also the new policy for 'certified used ones" is the almost same price. This is not fare deal at all. Customer service can not give any better deal or not helpful for the old customers. If you call different times you will find all different information from the different customer service agents. Make things very upsetting.
I have been with Fido for over 8 years. They have offered my brother better deals than what they offer me. They claim that my offer is a super special loyalty feature but it is a lot more expensive than what they are offering my brother. My brother only joined because I showed him the Refer a Friend offer. We have been through hell trying to get this discount. Neither one of us got the promised discount. Fido customer service gave us conflicting advice within the span of a few hours. "Use the link before signing up", "use the link after signing up". Then they asked us to deal with an email address that kept asking for more info every time you send in anything. I am surprised they didn't ask for our SINs. We still haven't gotten anything. He closed his Fido account for this purpose and I am moving to Freedom. There is no need to join Fido, they are not better than the cheaper alternatives.

I went to renew my 2 year contract and was expecting the same plan with a new phone, boy was I wrong first off I went to a location where they told me they could not access my account due to my ID being a different name, which by the way is the same ID I used to open my account in 1998. Which made me upset, then when I asked to see a manager the employee told me the "manager will tell you the same thing" to which I said you aren't even going to call him over. Again he said the manager would tell me the same thing. I left with no help. I called on my phone to be placed on hold for 30min. After speaking to someone that was useless and could not help, I asked to speak to a manager on the phone they said it would at least 45 min. After waiting all that time, I spoke with a manager and she looked up my extensive history, and told me the best she could do is give me a $45 plan and I would have to pay for a phone on top which would put me at $65-$75 after taxes. I explained I was not working due to the pandemic, and I could not afford a plan that expensive. They said thats all they could do. They said that it was the cheapest plan the have. So I shopped around and found shaw which is way cheaper. They have no respect for long term customers and when they sent me the last bill they did nit even include a invoice to actually show me the breakdown so they can charge me service fees to transfer over to a new carrier.
I am telling now leave FIDO and let them sink, they do not deserve your hard earned money, or any sympathy they are doing to them selves.

Overchaged a few times for being too close to the border and another time for calling outside canada for 5 seconds...pissed at this ppl!

Ordered an iPhone XS with 2go plan, spent two weeks waiting I called customer service no response, went to the store they told me they can't help me on online shopping. Contacted them on Facebook they take 8+ hours to respond to a message to finally tell me I got an offer two days before it started. LOL

I got a new plan in Oct based on being a real estate agent, now that it is on hold because of the virus, they want to charge me over $500 to change my plan to a lower amount!
